Touching the world, one person, one family at a time!

Lead Pastors

Nathan & Patricia Hyman met while attending International Bible College in San Antonio, Texas, and have been happily married since 1976.
Nathan was raised by parents who served as both pastors and missionaries.  A memorable part of his childhood was living in Nigeria, Africa, with his parents and four sisters as they did missionary work.  Nathan's grandparents, John and Celia Dodge, raised eleven children (Nathan's mother being the oldest) while evangelizing and also serving as missionaries in many nations of the world. They made a lasting impact on Nathan's life.
Patricia's parents pastored throughout most of her childhood.  They were godly parents who raised five children for the Lord.   All are currently in full-time ministry as pastors and missionaries.  Patricia received a call on her life at a young age to minister to children, which she continues to do in her current role as Children's Pastor here at Family Church.
Nathan and Patricia attended International Bible College in San Antonio as well as Rhema Bible School in Tulsa.   In 1980, God led Pastor Milton Koonce, former pastor of Channelview Christian Center (now Family Church) to bring the Hymans on staff as youth pastors and Christian school teachers.  For years they served in the church and school in a number of capacities including youth leaders, teachers, young adult leaders, worship team, and in whatever capacity needed.
For almost 20 years Nathan served as Channelview Christian School's administrator (now Family Christian Academy).  Patricia became the Children's Pastor of the church after 10 years of teaching in the school.  In 2001, when Pastor Koonce retired, Nathan became the lead pastor of Family Church, where he and his wife continue to serve the people they have come to love as their own family.
